Learn Vocabulary Through A Very Interesting Weather Story
Let's begin.
Lily was an adventurous girl who loved to explore the world around her.
One day, she discovered a mysterious old map hidden in her attic.
The map led to the home of the Weather Wizard, a magical being who could control the weather.
(Spring – Sunny and Breezy)
Lily set off on her journey early in the
morning when the sun was shining
brightly.
The weather was sunny and breezy, making her walk through the forest pleasant.
Birds were singing, and the trees swayed gently in the wind.
Vocabulary Focus: Sunny, breezy
Example Sentence:
"The sun was shining brightly, and a cool breeze blew through the trees as Lily walked."
(Summer – Hot and Humid)
As Lily continued her journey, she entered a wide-open field.
The day grew hot and humid, and sweat dripped down her face.
She longed for some shade, but the sun was high in the sky.
Vocabulary Focus: Hot, humid
Example Sentence: "The hot and humid air made Lily wish for a cool drink and some shade."
(Autumn – Cloudy and Rainy)
After hours of walking, Lily noticed that the sky had turned cloudy.
Soon, it started to rain.
She quickly pulled out her raincoat
and continued on her way.
The path was muddy, and she could hear the raindrops tapping on her umbrella.
Vocabulary Focus: Cloudy, rainy

As Lily climbed up a mountain,
the air grew colder, and snow began to fall.

Inside the Wizard’s cozy home, the fire crackled warmly in the fireplace.
The storm passed, and the sky cleared up.
The Wizard smiled and thanked Lily for her courage.
He told her that she had experienced all the different types of weather on her journey, and now she was ready to be the Weather Wizard’s apprentice.
Vocabulary Focus: Clear, calm
Example Sentence: "As the storm passed, the sky became clear and calm, and Lily felt a sense of peace and accomplishment."
Moral of the Story:
Lily learned that no matter what the weather is like, every type has its own beauty and challenges.
