i) Write down about the new word you've learnt
e.g. you learnt the new word 'side dish' meaning - (a small serving of food served with the main dish)
ii) Make your own sentences using 'side dish' relating to your life or your interests at the moment:
a. (real life) e.g. - At my parent's house, a local side dish of spicy pickled cucumber is usually served at meal times.

iii) Look up the word 'side dish' in your dictionary

iv) Take note of the many example sentences of how to use this word:

1. Add Side Salads to Your Meals
An easy way to eat more vegetables is to have green salads with your meals.
The salads will help you get your greens each day.
Prepare a small salad each time you make dinner, and try to add at least 2-3 veg to the salad.
Fresh vegetables like kale or spinach all go great with salads.
Enjoy your favourite holiday dinner side dishes all year long, not just during the holidays!
This might be mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, or green beans and carrots.

It is easy to include fruits and vegetables in soups.

Smoothies are usually a mix of yogurt, and any fruit of your choosing.
For an energy filled smoothie, choose your favourite yogurt and blend half a banana, strawberries, and blueberries.
This will give you a balance of carbs, protein, antioxidants, and vitamins to kick off your day.
