Diary Entry: Hokkaido Lavender Fields


Dear Diary,


Today, I experienced the breathtaking beauty of the lavender fields in Furano, Hokkaido.

As I walked through the endless rows of purple blossoms, the air was filled with a sweet, calming fragrance that instantly lifted my spirits.

The sight of the vibrant lavender stretching as far as the eye could see was nothing short of magical.

Hokkaido's lavender fields are famous not only for their beauty but also for their contribution to local agriculture and tourism. The Furano region has been cultivating lavender since the 1950s, initially for its essential oils.

Diary Entry: Ryokan Stay


Staying at a ryokan has been one of the most relaxing experiences of my trip so far.



From the moment I stepped

into the traditional inn, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility.




The tatami mat floors, sliding shoji doors, and the carefully arranged futon bed created a sense of simplicity and peace.

The highlight of my stay was soaking in the onsen, a hot spring bath, which left me feeling rejuvenated and at peace.

Diary Entry: Studio Ghibli Museum


Today, I visited the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, and it felt like stepping into a world of imagination and wonder. The museum beautifully captures the essence of Ghibli films, with exhibits that bring beloved characters and scenes to life.


I was especially enchanted by the Totoro-themed entrance and the detailed recreations of animation studios.

I had the opportunity to take an ikebana class today, and it was a fascinating and meditative experience.

Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, I learned how to carefully select and arrange flowers, leaves, and branches to create a beautiful and balanced composition.


It was incredible to see how each arrangement could express a unique story or emotion.
